Fuzzy Hands

So, there are nights when Josh is not home at bedtime due to work, bowling etc. Brady has always been VERY good about keeping to himself and entertaining himself. I've found that he doesn't get into things when I leave him alone. So when I need to put Dylan down for bed, I put on Brady's favorite dvd and he just sits there watching it the whole time.

I think I took longer than usual with Dylan and Brady's dvd ended. Brady came up and knocked on the door and said, "Mom, watch "Lots and Lots of Trains"?" "No Brady, I'm putting Dylan to sleep." He left and went back down stairs to play.

When I got out and came downstairs, I found Brady kneeling on the stairs with his hands burried in the carpet. He picked his hands up and said, "fuzzy hands... trees". There was SO much fuzz and cat hair stuck to his hands that they must've looked like trees to him. I couldn't figure out why his hands were so fuzzy, but I noticed he had a dirty diaper. So I took him to change his diaper and wash off his hands with wipes. That's when I noticed his mouth and chin was covered in blue sticky stuff!

"Brady! You had a lollypop?" It made me laugh! It's not like him to get into anything. He's been carrying around those two lollypops from Halloween for days saying, "this is green. this is blue." I didn't realize he actually knew what they were. So after I changed his diaper and wiped up his hands, I had to find the lollypop and HOPE that it didn't get everywhere. I found both the green and blue lollypop still in his "pumpkin bucket". BUT, the blue one was all wet and smaller. He had been sucking on the blue one with the paper still on it!

Just Chillin

Days are flying by it seems. I've been finding myself more occupied with keeping Dylan entertained. He's now sitting, rolling and scooting (kindof). So sitting in the swing, or laying under his gym of toys is no longer what he enjoys to pass the time. And since he's getting mobile, I have to watch that he doesn't get ahold of a lot of Brady's small toys (cars). Cause everything goes into Dylan's mouth you know.

Not much else going on here. I'm vowing to work on my scrapbook on a more consistent basis (every Friday night). Brady is learning his letters now that he already knows his numbers (verbally and visually), his shapes, colors etc. He can sing the ABCs, and knows about 10 or more letters by sight. Communicating with him is proving to be easier by the day. It's amazing the things he picks up about the world around him. He is one sharp kid!

Here's a few pictures of play time at our house! We stay in our comfy pjs often if we're not going anywhere! (hey, you only wish you could too!)

He loves to roll over to one of Brady's many "red trucks"

This is how Dylan used to "sit-up" until yesterday when he started sitting more upright

Hahaha - Soon Dylan will be crawling over and taking Brady's toys away from him. Oh my...

I love this picture! Can you believe I actually have a picture of Brady smiling?!?!

The Pumpkin Bucket

So the little froggies and I took our "pumpkin bucket" (as Brady called it) and went "treating". No tricks, just treats for us thank you.
On Wednesday we went up to visit Mimi, Papa and Uncle Dan since he was in town for the day hanging out. We knocked on the door, and Mimi & Uncle Dan opened it. Mimi tried to put a box of animal crackers and a bag of fishy crackers in his "bucket", but Brady was making it all too difficult. He'd move the bucket everytime she got close enough to put the things in it.

Uncle Dan and I are having more fun than the boys!

Pumpkin Bucket!

That's Hilarious!

On Friday, Grandma Bonnie came over and we went to Kent Station to go store to store to collect more goods for the bucket. It was also fun to see all the other cute, creative costumes other little kids were wearing! The weather turned out good, after a morning of rain. It was a nice, friendly venue for the kids with live music to boot. Half the stores ran out of candy by the time we got there at 5:00. Good thing Brady doesn't know the difference. He continued to avoid the candy dropping in his bucket... haha!

Sweet Dylan fell asleep by the end!

I'm the princess, and these are my frogs.

"Go, Go Boats!"

That's the name of one of Brady's books, "Go, Go Boats!".

Last weekend we took a trip out to Bremerton/Silverdale on the ferry to visit with Uncle Clarence who was staying and working in Silverdale for the week. Clarence is my sister's husband. We were excited to spend some time with him and for Dylan to meet his uncle for the first time since they live in Phoenix.

Brady loves boats (as well as planes, trains and cars) - so this was especially fun for him to go on a ferry boat for the first time! He didn't like the wind in his face so much out on the deck... but oh well.

(Sorry the pictures are SO out of order!)

Out for a swim...

We went swimming with papa (grandpa) the other day at their clubhouse pool! This was Dylan's first time swimming! (The last time I went swimming there was the day before I had Dylan)

Mimi (grandma) was there to help with picture taking and getting the boys ready before and after swimming in the locker room! Thank goodness for help!

Chuck E Cheese

The whole family went to a birthday party for our former Black Diamond neighbor's grandson (Jeremy Jr.) who is a month younger than Brady. They played with eachother often at the old house. This was our first time going to a Chuck E Cheese birthday party! My oh my... was it a whirlwind of activity. I think Brady was just slightly overwhelmed! haha There were about 5 or 6 other birthday parties going on in the same area. He didn't react either way when he met Chuck.
